Principal Investigators and Supervisors of the FOIE GRAS Network organized and participated in a course for the Experimental Biology and Biomedicine (BEB), a PhD programme of Coimbra University in Portugal. The course was named Metabolism and Disease: Causes and Consequences of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and took place from the 6th to the 10th of March 2017 at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC). The course was created and organized by FOIE GRAS members Dr. Paulo Oliveira, Dr. John Jones and Dr. João Ramalho Santos for the Metabolism, Aging and Disease Area of the CNC. Amongst the lecturers introducing students to NAFLD disease were FOIE GRAS scientists Paulo Oliveira, Carlos Palmeira, Cecilia Rodrigues, Fernanda Borges, John Jones, Paula Macedo and José Magalhães.
