SciComPt2018 congress (6º Congresso de Comunicação de Ciência – SciComPT 2018), The 6th edition of the SciComPt2018 congress (6º Congresso de Comunicação de Ciência – SciComPT 2018) was celebrated in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Portugal from the 10-13th of October 2018. The theme for this year’s edition carried the title of “Science: Open to Society. Participation and Inclusion in Science Communication” and was hosted by the Platforma de Ciência Aberta, a center from the international network of Open Science Centers (OSC) created with the purpose of boosting the potential for science, technology and innovation of local and regional communities through participatory research.
Mireia Alemany Pagès (ESR-13) presented an oral communication on the Science Communication project developed together with the EUG Coimbra 2018 to promote physical activity as a motor of healthy living and healthy aging through the communication of biomedical knowledge. This partnership between the FOIE GRAS projects, the CNC and the games produced a wide range of materials that reached over 100.000 people, and counted with the participation of all ESRs and respective supervisors.
