Bárbara Patrício ESR6 (CNR, Italy) is doing her secondment at APDP Diabetes (Portugal) under supervision of Dr. Paula Macedo, where she is evaluating intestinal permeability in a diet-induced animal model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Her training will include histology staining techniques and molecular biology techniques.
