Bárbara Patrício- (ESR6), and Getachew Debas – (ESR4) gave an oral presentations about their Ph.D. research findings at the 6th Annual European Association for the Study of Diabetes NAFLD study group, which took place on the 19-20th April 2018 at Green Templeton College, Oxford UK.
Bárbara`s presentation was entitled: “Alterations in plasma lipidomic profile are mainly associated to increased body mass index rather than insulin resistance” and Getachew`s talk was on “Transfer of 2H from Glucose to Specific Sites of Newly-Synthesized Triglyceride Fatty-Acids in Feeding Mice”.
Other participants from the FOIE GRAS consortium were Dr. Paula Macedo from APDP Diabetes, Dr. Amalia Gastaldelli (CNR), Dr. John Jones (CNC UC) and Sara Guerra (ESR2).
