On 28 September 2018, at the Botanical Garden of the Universidade de Coimbra, during the European Researchers’ Night 2018, many curious children and citizens, had an opportunity to learn more about the research activities at the Project FOIE GRAS and Project RISE FOIE GRAS. Through flyers, brochures, chronicles, panels, and discussion with scientists they got acquainted with the seriousness of #NAFLD disease and learned what are the preventive methods to stop and reverse this disease. Mireia Alemany Pagès (ESR-13, CNC), Getachew Debas (ESR4, CNC) and other members of the Project FOIE GRAS activly participated at the event.
Also during the European Researchers Night citizens had a chance to discuss research with ten investigators from CNC and ICBR -Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research. Paulo Oliveira participated at the speed dating with the scientist meeting at the Museu da Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra.
