The European Training Network mtFOIE GRAS focused on metabolic mechanisms, biomarker discovery and treatments for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) was officially launched past 14th of June 2017. The project is led by the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology at University of Coimbra, Portugal. The project is funded by Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and aimed at promoting the mobility of scientists and technicians between academia, companies and patient associations. Up until now the principal investigators and supervisors of the network were carefully and thoroughly planning the long-term framework and strategy of the project and the network.
