The comic book ‘A Healthy Liver Will Always Deliver!’ for creating wider awareness on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and other non-communicable diseases (NCD), is part of the SDG Good Practices in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda, promoted by the United Nations (UN). Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development defines 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) considered as an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership. They have recognized that “ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.”
The SDG Good Practices initiative promotes inspiring breakthroughs and success stories that contribute for the SDG. By promoting several good practices, UN expects that can be replicated and scaled up to address existing gaps and constraints all over the world.
