Tawhidul Islam Srabon (ESR8) doing his PhD at Faculty of Farmancy at University of Lisbon, performed three months secondment at the laboratory of Dr.Carina Prip-Buus in INSERM, France.
At INSERM his work was focused on measuring OXPHOS (Oxidative Phosphorylation) activities of mouse liver samples obtained from two NAFLD diets: HFCD (High-fat Choline deficient diet) and CDAA (Choline deficient L-amino acid defined model). The research of enzymatic activities (OXPHOS complexes) are important to obtain a better understanding of the NAFLD pathogenesis and progression to NASH.
